  • Paws & Claws offers kennel-free grooming.

    Your furry friends will experience a stress-free environment and personalized service full of love and affection. Our Deluxe Spa includes a haircut of your choice, nails, ear cleaning, anal glands, warm water bath with all natural shampoo, blueberry facial, and a leave in coat conditioner. We also offer a basic spa which includes all of the above without the haircut.

  • All scheduled appointments must be cancelled within 24 hour of the appointment time to avoid the late cancellation/no show fee of $35.

  • We offer a clean, easy and relaxed way for you to bathe your dog.

    We provide towels, dryers and four varieties of Earthbath Natural Pet Shampoo at no extra charge. Our raised tubs are easy on your back, accessible from both sides and accommodate large or small dogs. You can relax knowing you have all the time you need to groom your dog and you dont have to beat the clock on those prepaid timers. Come in and check out our facilities!

  • Currently our self-service tubs are available daily, with our last Bath one hour before closing.

  • Diane Pfile & Ruth Villasenor opened their store in June 2004 because they believe in using natural products, "its good for us, the earth, and our pets."

    After learning about the increasing rates of cancer, diabetes and kidney problems in animals, they felt the need to do their part spreading the word about all the harmful chemicals in pet foods, treats, shampoos, supplements, and cat litters. Diane and Ruth believe there has to be a direct correlation - there is in humans, why not our pets? Diane and Ruth make a conscious choice to stock only products they feel good about. They feel strongly about helping the consumer make conscious choices too.

Anesthesia-Free Teeth Cleaning

  • Our attending veterinarian performs an examination on every pet prior to the dental cleaning

  • $175 per each pet - which includes an examination

    If your pet in unable to undergo a dental cleaning you will only be responsible for a $25 examination fee.

  • We provide quality dental cleanings, keeping your pet healthy and happy.

  • At Waggin Smiles

    Our goal is to provide the highest quality alternative in dental cleaning for your pet's teeth. Pet owners who do not want to put their pet under general anesthesia for teeth cleanings now have a choice. Our non-anesthetic teeth cleaning services eliminate the risks associated with anesthesia. We do not use any type of anesthesia while cleaning your dog's teeth.

  • A licensed veterinarian is on staff and supervises your pet throughout the teeth cleaning procedure.

    Our dental cleanings will include checking for dental disease, lesions, broken teeth and tumors; and we will provide you with a Medical Record that will give you information on about your pet's teeth.

  • Our rates are reasonable; and we make every effort to provide your pet with a positive and satisfactory non-anesthetic teeth cleaning experience.

  • Having your dog's teeth cleaned on a regular basis can improve your pet's overall health.

    Regular teeth cleanings helps to prevent bad breath, plaque & tartar buildup, red or swollen gums and tooth loss.

    When: Oct 2, 2018, Join us for our 15th Annual "Howl-o-ween" Pet Parade & Costume Contest, hosted by Paws & Claws in the Dimond District. Meet in front of Paws & Claws at 2 pm, parade thru the Dimond business district collecting treats. Pets, kids & adults are welcome to participate in the parade. After the parade, we return to Paws & Claws, for a chance to win some fun prizes as folks compete for the Best Human & Pet Costume. This annual celebration includes some of the best-dressed costumes you'll ever see.This Free Event is a benefit for Pals East Bay, a nonprofit organization that provides monthly free wellness clinics and support for spay & neutering, as well as ends of life and rescue. Lot's of raffle prizes, 100% of proceeds to benefit Pals East Bay.

  • Furocious Pups Artist Reception

    When: Sep 4, 2018, Join us, Friday, Sept. 28th from 6 to 8 pm, for an artist reception featuring the creative artwork of Alicia Cadell. Alicia is an Illustrator & Designer who uses her passion & artistic talent to create amazingly creative & detailed artwork. Her love for dogs and creating art inspired her to give a new twist to movie classics. These classic images of dogs give the viewer a new perspective to films we love. She also uses the sales of her handmade screen prints & accessories to make a pawsitive difference for animals by donating a portion of sales to local shelters. Paws & Claws voted Best Pet Boutique in BayWoof's 2018 "Beast of the Bay", is also known for having the best dog parties in the bay.
